Marie Wellmeier (Sister Mary Richarda)
Marie was the fourth child of Edward G. and Mary Wellmeier. She was baptized on January 26, 1902 at St. Mary's Church, Dayton, Ohio. Prior to entering the convent, she attended St. Mary's, St. Anthony's and Jacob's Business College.
Marie entered the Sisters of Saint Francis on June 25, 1927 receiving her final vows January 2, 1933. She took the name of Sister Mary Richarda. Sister Richard attended the Marian College in Oldenburg, Indiana and received her degree in education in 1950.
